3 X 3 Eyes: Curse of the Gesu is the second book in this highly entertaining Japanese comics series that deals with a Tokyo high-school student named Yakumo who meets up with a 300-year-old girl (with three eyes) named Pai. In the first book, Pai’s desire to become a human led the pair to Hong Kong to search for the thing that would make her wish come true. In Curse of the Gesu, Yakumo and Pai return to Tokyo. Yakumo can’t wait to tell all his school buddies that he was in Hong Kong fighting monsters. Unfortunately, when another monster comes to attack Pai, he puts all his friends in jeopardy. Curse of the Gesu is full of incredibly dry humor that will have you laughing your head off in amazement.
