Product description The Loxley Ashgate deep-edged “Chunky” is a superior range of artists stretched canvas individually made from fine materials. Sustainably sourced kiln dried pine is used for the stretcher frame with a 10oz, medium grain, 100% unbleached cotton which is double primed with a universal white acrylic gesso primer to produce a surface to take paint without sinking and giving maximum creative flow. Each professionally stretched cotton canvas has 36mm staple free edges that can also be painted – framing is not needed. The stretchers bars are correctly profiled to prevent paint/rub lines and the larger sizes have built-in cross bars to add strength and stability. Suitable for oils, acrylics and othe mediums. This range offers great value, having many features of more expensive canvases and yet affordable for even high volume artists and students.
